How to use your dashboard

Your CareerPlug Dashboard provides a high-level overview of your hiring status, shows activity in your account, shows what upcoming interviews you have, and lists what actions you should take in your account.

In this article:

Hiring Overview

At the top of your Dashboard, you'll see the number of new applicants, applicants in progress, active jobs, and jobs that can be reviewed. You can think of this as a shortcut to your most essential pages.

Selecting New Applicants will take you to view applicants who have applied since you have last reviewed your applicants page. You can review new applicants immediately for open roles and move them through your hiring pipeline

Selecting Applicants in progress will take you directly to your Applicants board view, where you can see anyone who has applied to your open jobs, including disqualified and inactive candidates.

Selecting your Active Jobs will take you directly to your Jobs main page. Here you can review what jobs you are currently hiring for, see Smart Suggestions to make your job posting as attractive as possible to possible job seekers, create a new job posting, or edit a current one.

Selecting Jobs need review will take you to only your current job postings that are considered Critical under Smart Suggestions. Implementing these suggestions can help improve visibility for your current job and increase the quality of applicants you receive.

Click the + Create New button to the right of the Dashboard to post a job (by selecting Use a Job Template or Create From Scratch), add a candidate (by selecting Manually Add an Applicant), or add an existing member of your team to your account (by selecting Add Teammate).

Your To-Dos

Your To-Dos list shows what tasks you should take immediate action on. This can include jobs that need reviewed, new applicants to open jobs, onboarding and retention tasks that need your attention, and more.

Selecting any items here will bring you directly to that part of the CareerPlug system.

Upcoming Interviews

Any upcoming interviews you have scheduled will be listed here. From here you can also reschedule or cancel an interview, or view the applicant’s profile.

Click the three-dots icon to Cancel or Reschedule an interview.

Applicant Flow Chart

Each bar represents how many applicants you received on each day in the given time frame. The status of each applicant is their current status.

Click either of the dates at the top of the chart to change the time frame for the chart.

Quick access careers page

From your Dashboard, you can quickly navigate to your careers page (by clicking on Careers Page), edit your current careers page (by clicking on the down arrow icon and then Edit Careers Page), or print a poster with a custom QR code that will send potential applicants straight to your company's careers page (by selecting Print Poster w/ QR Code).

Achievements and Recent Activity

On the top right side of the Dashboard, you will see your progress towards Achievements. Achievements are calculated weekly and can help responsible employers attract more qualified applicants.

Below Achievements, you'll see Recent Activity within your account.

In Recent Activity, you can see when comments are made on an applicant's profile, when new applications come in, when new hires are made, and more. Most activity that happens in your account will be logged here.

Get Started Widget

The Get Started widget is your one-stop shop for setting up your CareerPlug account. Here you can find your most essential tasks that will ensure you are getting the most out of your account, and it's where you should start when you sign into your account for the first time. 

Each time you finish a step in the widget, it will automatically mark itself complete. Once all steps are completed, you can remove the widget entirely from your dashboard.

Set up a location should already be complete, since you have created your account. Great job! You can use the down arrow on Set up a location to select View Locations. This will take you to your location settings where you can view your current locations, and add any necessary locations to your account.

Note: Only Admin users can add Locations to an account. An Admin User must contact CareerPlug Support to delete locations in their account.

Don't see a plus (+) icon on your Locations page? Your account might need approval to add a location. Contact CareerPlug Support and include all required information for your new location (Name, Location Number/ID, City, ZIP Code, Country) in your request. We can help you add it to your account!

Clicking on Create Job from Post your first job will take you directly to creating a new job post. You can select from job templates your franchise has set up, or start from scratch.

Clicking on Add Teammate from Add a teammate will take you directly to the Create a new teammate page. This is where you can add additional users in your CareerPlug account. These users can be current employees with whom you want to utilize retention tools or management that need access to job posts, hiring, and onboarding procedures.

Clicking on Customize Notifications from Set up notifications will take you directly to your notifications page in settings. This will allow you to customize the frequency of emails you receive about new applicants, applicant tasks, and hiring steps.

Clicking on Set Up Calendar from Set up your calendar will take you to the Calendars page in your settings. From here, you can connect your work calendar from a number of providers or customize your availability to allow applicants to select available interview dates and times.

Finally, clicking on Learn More from Explore workflows and tasks will take you to the Workflows main page under your Team. From here, you can create a new workflow, utilize existing partnership workflows or pre-loaded workflows, and assign tasks to employees. Workflows not only help you onboard new hires quickly and efficiently, saving you time and money, but also allow you to keep connected with current employees and improve your retention rates.
