This month's updates are all about attracting more applicants to your jobs, keeping your team data accurate, and getting a faster way to navigate your CareerPlug account. From AI-optimized Careers Pages to a brand new look, plus early access to CareerPlug's new AI Assistant!

Your Careers Page Is Optimized for AI Search

Job search is changing. More and more job seekers are using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews to find their next job and these tools are starting to  share Careers Pages, not just individual job listings. Your Careers Page now has data that helps AI tools find, read, and recommend all of your open jobs at once. This makes your Careers Page more likely to show up when a job seeker asks AI something like “find baker jobs near me," or "Show me all fitness instructor jobs in Austin TX."

Better Job Titles Means More Visibility on Job Boards

Special characters, symbols, and emojis in job titles might feel like a way to stand out but they actually hurt your posting's performance on job boards. And if you've ever met with our Hiring Experts Team, you know this is one of the first things they coach for job posts. Job titles now only allow letters, numbers, or hyphens so every job you post is set up to get you the best visibility from the start.

New capabilities are continuously rolling out, meaning it won’t just answer your questions but will soon be able to do things for you like build Workflows or create a job post.

We listened to your feedback — CareerPlug now has a fresh new look that's faster and easier to navigate. Find the tools you use most, discover ones you might have been missing, and get better visibility into hiring, retention, and insights.

Bugs that have been fixed over the last 30 days

We’ve been fine-tuning CareerPlug to ensure a smoother experience for you! Here are some of the key fixes we’ve made this month.

• Bulk selecting tasks now works even when an employee's task table is collapsed — Using Bulk Select next to an Employee’s name on the Task page previously showed an error. The table now automatically expands and selects all tasks so you can take bulk action without the extra steps.

• Dual-sided (manager & employee) Onboarding Tasks now submit correctly — A task could appear completed on the manager side even when it hadn't truly been submitted. This is now fixed so both sides reflect the real status.

• Share job modals now appear accurately — The share modal was displaying behind the background making it impossible to interact with. It now appears where it should!

• Careers Page address now updates correctly — Changes to the Google Maps street address weren't saving on the Careers Page. Addresses now update, and stay there.

• Invoices download as PDFs — Invoices in Billing History were downloading as a .txt file instead of a PDF, making them unreadable. They now download in the correct format.

• Fixing an applicant email error now re-enables the Send button — After correcting an invalid email address, the Send button wasn't re-activating automatically. It now enables as soon as the error is resolved.

• Hiring processes now save correctly after deleting steps — Removing a step from a hiring process and then saving was failing. Edits now save without any issues.

• Autopilot defaults fields are no longer incorrectly required — Some Autopilot default fields were being flagged as mandatory when they shouldn't be, blocking users from saving. That's fixed.

• Manager-completed form fields now display on mobile — In Onboarding, there was an intermittent issue where fields completed by a manager weren't showing up on mobile devices. They now display correctly across all devices.

• Resumes and cover letters are no longer cut off — Some resumes and cover letters were getting cut off with no way to scroll or view the rest. They now load completely.

• Benefits now stay selected when using a job template — Benefits chosen in a job template were getting cleared when the template was applied. Your selections now carry through as expected.

• Job template page now loads correctly — Some job template pages were failing to load properly. They now open without issues.

• Job filters on the applicants page are back — Filters on the applicants page had disappeared for some accounts. They're restored and working again.

• Duplicate applications to confidential jobs are now blocked — Applicants could submit multiple applications to confidential jobs. Only one application per applicant is now allowed.

• Prescreen questions can now be deleted from job templates — Removing prescreen questions from a job template wasn't working. You can now delete them without any issues.

• Locked job posting configurations now save the correct hiring process — When locking job posting configurations to admins, the selected hiring process wasn't saving correctly. It now saves and applies as expected.
