How Indeed's single-source feed policy can impact job visibility

As of March 31, 2026, Indeed only accepts job postings from a single designated source per employer. This change means you can't post jobs through an applicant tracking system (ATS) like CareerPlug and also post jobs directly on Indeed (or through another ATS). If Indeed detects jobs from multiple sources for the same employer or brand, it will suppress visibility for those postings.

The good news: As long as you're posting jobs exclusively from CareerPlug, you're already meeting this requirement and should have no job source issues. CareerPlug is (and should be) your single, designated source for job postings.

What do I need to do?

If you have any active job postings outside of CareerPlug — either directly on Indeed or through another ATS — you need to close them immediately. And if you've previously posted jobs for your company through another ATS, ensure those postings are closed, too.

Note: This doesn't apply to sharing your CareerPlug job postings to custom sources, which we strongly recommend to attract high-quality applicants.

What should I do if my jobs are being suppressed on Indeed?

If you suspect your jobs are being suppressed on Indeed due to job source issues, you should provide verbal or written confirmation to Indeed that the CareerPlug feed should be your primary source for job postings. Indeed will only assist employers directly, meaning CareerPlug can’t make this request on your behalf.

If you do have a dedicated Indeed representative:

1. Schedule a call with your dedicated Indeed representative.

2. On the call, inform your Indeed representative:

  • What company/employer you are reaching out on behalf of.
  • How you have previously been posting jobs, if applicable.
  • That you would like to set the CareerPlug multisource API feed as your primary source for job postings.

If you don't have a dedicated Indeed representative:

1. Open Indeed's request form.

2. Select Job Postings from the How can we help? drop-down menu.

3. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email, and Company in the open fields.

4. Select your Country from the drop-down menu.

5. Paste the following script into the Description field:

"Hi there, I am an employer currently utilizing CareerPlug as my ATS. I am reaching out to ensure that my jobs are being sent to Indeed via the CareerPlug multisource API feed as the primary source of truth for my jobs. My jobs might have previously been sent from other sources. Can you please let us know if there is anything we need to do to be set up properly with the CareerPlug multisource feed as our primary source?"

6. Complete any remaining fields.

7. Click the Submit button.

Once you receive a reply from Indeed, feel free to contact our Hiring Expert team (support@careerplug.com) — we're happy to help from there.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q: Will there be any lapse in job visibility while Indeed reviews my feed request?

A: Any disruption to job visibility during this process should be brief.
