For accounts that use Indeed-sponsored job postings, CareerPlug tracks clicks and applicants from both sponsored (paid) and organic (free) postings on Indeed.
This data can help you analyze the return on your investment when sponsoring jobs on Indeed.

Viewing applicants who applied to your Indeed-sponsored job
On your applicants page, filter by Source.
Applicants who applied via Indeed will appear with one of two sources:
- Indeed Sponsored - this applicant clicked on/applied to your sponsored (paid) listing
- Indeed - this applicant clicked on/applied to your organic (free) listing
To filter by source, expand the advanced Filters drawer on the left side of the screen by clicking the Filters icon.
Click More Filters, then select the source you want to filter by from the Source drop-down menu.
Analyzing applicant conversion rate for your Indeed-sponsored job
To see how the applicant conversion rate for your Indeed-sponsored job stacks up when compared with your organic job, analyze your click-to-apply rate:
Click-to-Apply Rate = Applicants / Clicks
You can get this data by creating a new Source Analysis report in Classic Reports. When you create and download the report, you can filter it by job title if you want to view the clicks and applicants for a specific sponsored job.
The Source Analysis report will show you:
- How many job seekers clicked your sponsored jobs' title(s) to view the description (Clicks)
- How many job seekers applied to your sponsored jobs (Applicants)
- How many hires you made from applicants who applied via sponsored jobs (Hires)
You can learn more about applicant conversion rate in this CareerPlug blog.
Analyzing applicant and hire volume for your Indeed-sponsored job
To quickly view how your Indeed-sponsored posting stacks up when compared to your organic postings in terms of applicant volume, take a look at your Source Analysis chart.
Navigate to your Classic Reports and then click the Source Analysis tab. Filter by a job title if you wish and see a chart that visually represents how many applicants came from each source (or hires, depending on the tab you are on).
Accounts without this feature
Some accounts have opted to disable Indeed Apply, which allows applicants to apply to jobs directly from Indeed, rather than being re-directed to their careers page.
For accounts who have opted to disable Indeed Apply, the above functionality will not work. Tracking clicks and applications using Indeed's analytics functionality requires the use of Indeed Apply.
Accounts that opt out will see all Indeed traffic as Indeed, without the ability to identify sponsored traffic.
