Scheduling an email or text message to send later

If you are corresponding with an applicant using CareerPlug and would like to compose an email or text message but send it at a later time, you can use the Schedule to send later feature. For example, some hiring managers prefer not to send rejections immediately after an interview or immediately after an applicant applies.

When you're sending a message, turn on the Schedule to send later toggle and then choose your selected date/time that you’d like the message to be sent.

If you don't see this toggle, click the Send drop-down arrow and select Send Later.

After you click Confirm, your message will be sent at the selected time. There will be a comment on the applicant's All Activity section that shows the scheduled email.

Note: All emails can be scheduled for later, but only text message invites can be scheduled. Invites include phone screen invitations, interview invitations, and reference check invitations.

Canceling a scheduled message

If it is visible, click the View/Edit link in the Actions heading, then click Cancel Email or Cancel Text.

If you don't see the view/edit option, follow these steps to cancel the message:

Click the applicant's name to open the applicant's profile page.

Click the All Activity tab.

Click the View Details link under the scheduled message.

Click the Cancel Email or Cancel Text button to prevent the message from sending. The message will be deleted from the applicant activity and will not be sent.
