How do I set up a ZipRecruiter account?

To set up your employer account, contact ZipRecruiter by email or phone.

Choose a pricing plan that supports the features and number of sponsored jobs you’d like to have.

How do I sponsor a job on ZipRecruiter?

You can sponsor a job from one of two locations within your CareerPlug account — either from the Jobs page or the job's profile page.

Navigate to the Jobs page to get started.

From the Jobs page

1. Find the job you want to sponsor and click the Start Sponsoring link under the job title.

2. On the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship Options page, select either ZipRecruiter Sponsorship or ZipRecruiter Sponsorship Plus from the Sponsorship Options.

• ZipRecruiter Sponsorship is $16 per day.
• ZipRecruiter Sponsorship Plus is $24 per day.

3. Click the Next button in the bottom right corner of the page.

4. Select the Start Time for your sponsorship: Start Now or Start Tomorrow.

5. Select an existing billing method (if available) or enter billing details for a New Card.

6. Review the Terms & Conditions and click the Sponsor Job Posting button in the bottom right corner of the page.

From a job's profile page

1. On the Jobs page, find the job you want to sponsor and click the job title to open the job's profile page.

2. Click the Sponsor on ZipRecruiter button at the top of the page — or scroll down and click the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship button on the left side of the page — to open the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship page.

3. Configure your sponsorship as shown above.

How do I edit my ZipRecruiter sponsorship?

You can edit your ZipRecruiter-sponsored jobs from one of two locations within your CareerPlug account — either from the Jobs page or the job's profile page.

Navigate to the Jobs page to get started.

From the Jobs page

1. Find the sponsored job you want to change and click the Edit link under the job title.

2. On the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship page, click the Change Sponsorship button.

3. On the Sponsorship Options page, select a ZipRecruiter Sponsorship tier different from your current option.

4. Click the Next button in the bottom right corner of the page.

5. Select the Start Time for your sponsorship: Start Now or Start Tomorrow.

6. Select an existing billing method (if available) or enter billing details for a New Card.

7. Scroll down and click the Update Sponsorship button in the bottom right corner of the page.

From a job's profile page

1. On the Jobs page, find the sponsored job you want to edit and click the job title to open the job's profile page.

2. Click the Sponsor on ZipRecruiter button at the top of the page — or scroll down and click the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship button on the left side of the page — to open the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship page.

How do I stop my ZipRecruiter sponsorship?

You can stop the ZipRecruiter sponsorship for your jobs from one of two locations within your CareerPlug account — either from the Jobs page or the job's profile page.

1. On the Jobs page, find the job you want to stop sponsoring and click on the job title to open the job's profile page.

2. Click the Sponsor on ZipRecruiter button at the top of the page — or scroll down and click the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship button on the left side of the page — to open the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship page.

3. On the ZipRecruiter Sponsorship page, click the Stop Sponsorship button.

How do I view my ZipRecruiter sponsorship billing details?

To see billing details for your ZipRecruiter sponsorship, navigate to Settings > Plan And Billing > ZipRecruiter.

Here, you'll find a summary of your currently sponsored jobs along with details like the Sponsorship Type (a.k.a. tier), the number of Applicants received, the number of Days the job has been sponsored, your Per Day spend, and your Total Spent.

You can see the total Sponsorship Fees across all jobs in your account in the top-right corner of the page.

To review your past sponsorship details, use the drop-down in the upper left corner of the page to select a different month.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q: How does ZipRecruiter sponsorship billing work?

A: All ZipRecruiter sponsorships are charged a daily rate, recurring daily by default, until you stop them. Your credit card will be charged at the end of each month, or anytime your sponsorship total reaches $500 — whichever comes first. Sales tax will be charged when applicable.

Q: How do I cancel my ZipRecruiter sponsorship?

A: You can stop future daily charges by logging into CareerPlug and stopping the sponsorship.

Q: Can I get a refund for my ZipRecruiter sponsorship?

A: No. Once a daily sponsorship campaign has started, no refunds — including partial refunds — will be issued.

Q: Can I have a copy of my ZipRecruiter sponsorship invoices/receipts sent to another email address (e.g. an accountant)?

A: Yes. Submit your request to our Hiring Expert team along with the additional email, and we can set up your account to send ZipRecruiter sponsorship invoices/receipts to that email address in addition to the CareerPlug account owner.

Classic ZipRecruiter sponsorship option

Configure a job as you normally would, but before posting, add the ZipRecruiter tag to your job post.

When editing the Job Description, add “#ZR” to the very bottom of your description (at least one space below the end of your description’s text).

Once posted, your job will be sent to the (ZipRecruiter) job feed. ZipRecruiter will identify all jobs featuring the “#ZR” tag and sponsor them in their job listing.

Q: How long will my job stay sponsored on ZipRecruiter?

A: 30 days.

Q: How many sponsored posts can I have on ZipRecruiter?

A: You can have as many sponsored posts as your ZipRecruiter plan allows. If you add the “#ZR” tag to more jobs on CareerPlug than your ZipRecruiter plan permits, ZipRecruiter will prioritize and only sponsor the number of jobs your plan supports.

Q: Can I cancel sponsorship on an existing job in order to sponsor a new/more urgent job?

A: Yes, you can stop sponsoring one job before the 30-day period ends and start sponsoring another. However, you will need to contact ZipRecruiter to handle this.
