ToolBelt HIRE: Organic vs. ToolBelt Match candidates
ToolBelt HIRE subcontractor candidates come in two varieties: Organic and ToolBelt Match candidates.
Organic candidates
Think of organic candidates as traditional applicants.
These subcontractors have discovered your posting on the ToolBelt job board. They've reviewed the scope of work, qualifications, location, and pricing you’ve outlined, and they've applied directly to your job.
Once they've applied to your job, be prepared for organic candidates to contact you proactively by text or phone call to speed up the interviewing and hiring process.
You can track candidates' journeys through your hiring process in ToolBelt HIRE.
Best Practice: Be responsive to incoming calls and texts — organic candidates are often ready to get on the jobsite quickly.
ToolBelt Match candidates
ToolBelt uses AI to match top-qualified candidates with your ToolBelt job posting and automatically sends candidates who match your exact criteria to your CareerPlug account as leads.
ToolBelt Match candidates have not applied to your job posting. Instead, they are matched to your job posting based on their strong qualifications, trade, specialty, and location.
These candidates will have ToolBelt Match listed as their source in CareerPlug.
Best Practice: Approach ToolBelt Match candidates differently — contact them directly, let them know their ToolBelt profile is a match for your job, and start a conversation about partnership opportunities.
How do I tell the difference?
- Organic candidates will apply directly to your job, and may reach out to you first.
- ToolBelt Match candidates will be flagged as a strong fit in your ToolBelt HIRE account, but they have not applied directly to your job. You should reach out to ToolBelt Match candidates first.
By exposing you to candidates from both sources, ToolBelt HIRE ensures you consistently receive both active job seekers and high-quality prospects to keep your jobs staffed.
