Sometimes you may have a good applicant who isn't quite a fit for the job to which they applied. With CareerPlug, it's easy to consider them for a different job than the one to which they applied.
To transfer an applicant to another job, locate the applicant on your Applicants page. Click the three-dots icon at the right of the applicant's record, then click Transfer to another job.
Need help finding an applicant? Click the " X" on the right edge of the Job Status: Active filter to remove it. This filter — which is on by default any time you log into CareerPlug — hides applicants from your closed, passive, and draft jobs from view.
In the pop-up that appears, select which job you want to transfer them to.
If the job you want to transfer the applicant to uses a different hiring process than the job to which they applied, you will be asked to map the hiring steps from the previous job onto the new job.
In the example below, this applicant has already moved through the Review step into the Phone Screen hiring step of the former job's hiring process. The new job has similar hiring steps, so these can be mapped over easily.
Click the Submit Transfer button to finalize the transfer.
You will see a notification in the bottom right corner of the page when your transfer is successful.
Transferring in bulk
You can transfer multiple applicants to another job at once. To do so, click the checkboxes to the left of the applicants' names, then click the Transfer link that appears on the left side of your screen.
Select the job you wish to transfer the applicants to, map the hiring steps if necessary, and then click the Confirm button.
You will see a notification in the bottom right corner of the page when your transfer is successful.
