Viewing and evaluating an applicant's assessment score

In order to locate an applicant's assessment score, you first need to find the applicant. If you can't find them by using the filters on your Applicants page, try clicking the magnifying glass at the top of the Applicants page and searching for them by name.

When you find the applicant, click the View Assessments button in the Actions column of the Applicants page.

If you don't see the View Assessments button, click the applicant's name to view the applicant's profile page. In the Assessment hiring step, click the View button.

If the applicant has not completed the assessment, you can click Resend Invite to remind them.

General rules for assessment scores

The best way to evaluate your applicant's assessment scores is to take the assessments yourself or have your employees complete the assessments, then benchmark your or your employees' scores with an applicant's score. This will give you an excellent point of reference when you're reviewing an applicant's scores.

  • The Math/Verbal assessment score should be 60 or above.
  • The Personality assessment score will vary based on the skills needed for the position. These scores should not be interpreted as if they were traditional school test scores. In many instances, a score of 50 or 60 may be acceptable for a position, even though those same scores would indicate a failing grade by traditional school standards. We recommend that you rely on the scores of employees who perform comparable job functions to the position for which the applicant has applied.

If a candidate has an assessment score before you send them the assessment

There are two reasons a score may be on an applicant’s profile before you send them the assessment:

  1. Fast Track: The candidate may be a Fast Track candidate, and your account may be configured to send out the assessment automatically to Fast Track candidates. In this case, the applicant received and took the assessment.
  2. Scores Imported: If the candidate took the CareerPlug assessment previously with another company and has used the same email address, the scores will be imported when they apply.
