W-4 employer fields
In Onboarding, the employer fields for the federal W-4 are not mapped. This is because they are not required to be filled out.
The employer is not required to sign or enter the Employee Identification Number (EIN) on the Form W-4. The only two steps required for all employees are Step 1, where they enter personal information like name and filing status, and Step 5, where they sign the form. If Steps 2-4 apply to the employee, their withholding will more accurately match their tax liability if they complete them.
If you do want your W-4 to have an employer section, you should download a PDF of the federal W-4 and build your own W-4 form and map those fields. Here's how to create a PDF form in Onboarding.
