August 2026 Product Updates
Here's what's new in CareerPlug this month: a brand new Document builder, a Labs page actually worth visiting, a Dashboard you can make your own, and new ways to hold employees that are onboarding accountable.
Not sure which plan you’re on? Visit the Plan and Billing page in your CareerPlug account or contact an Admin user.
Require an employee to upload a document for Task completion
You can now require a document upload before a To Do task can be marked complete so an employee can't check off a task without actually attaching what you asked for. This works well for things like licenses, certifications, compliance and safety or anything else you can think of.
Create or edit To Dos in your Workflows.
This feature is available for Grow plan subscriptions.
“Combined PDF” label on documents
When combining a stack of documents into one PDF it used to look just like every other file on the Documents page. Now the bundled file stands out immediately with a “Combined PDF” label right next to its name. No more opening all the files just to find it.

Labs: New Document builder
Building a signable document just got a lot easier! The new document builder makes it easy to place fields exactly where you want them, preview the document without leaving the builder, and copy a field instead of recreating it each time it repeats on the page.
Turn on the new builder in Labs.

LABS: Customize your Dashboard tiles
Your Dashboard shouldn’t show you the numbers you don’t care about. With the new Customize Your Data Tiles option, you can choose 3-5 tiles, from Open Jobs to Employee Pulse Survey ratings. So the first thing you see are the things you actually care about.
Turn on dashboard tiles customization in Labs.

This feature is available for all plan subscriptions.
Redesigned Labs page
Labs (Beta) used to be buried in Settings and didn’t have a lot of information on the page about the features you could turn on. Not anymore. Labs is now accessible from your Account Menu and has images and videos showing exactly what each feature does, links to help articles you need and even has an Enable All button if you just want to turn on everything now.
See all the beta features on the new Labs page.

Bugs that have been fixed over the last 30 days
We’ve been fine-tuning CareerPlug to ensure a smoother experience for you! Here are some of the key fixes we’ve made this month.
- The Workflow Create/Edit page is easier to use — The Workflow name field was easy to miss, tripping up first-time users. The page has been reorganized to reduce that friction.
- Completed onboarding tasks and documents are visible again — Some admins couldn't view completed tasks or their attached documents. Both now display correctly.
- Setting a Task filter to "All" now shows all onboarding users — This filter was only surfacing some users instead of the full list. It now returns everyone as expected.
- Deleting a Task now actually deletes it — Deleted tasks were staying visible instead of being removed. Deletion now works as expected.
- Text message replies sent as MMS are no longer missed — Some applicant replies sent as MMS weren't coming through. These messages are now reliably received.
- Applicants can now reschedule or cancel Autopilot interviews from their confirmation email — The reschedule and cancel links weren't working, leaving applicants stuck with an interview time that didn't work for them. Both links now work correctly.
- Clients can now complete the job builder and post new jobs — Some accounts were getting stuck partway through the job builder and couldn't post a job at all. The builder now completes successfully.
- The onboarding progress bar now accurately reflects completed tasks — The bar could understate progress, and documents tied to a task weren't always viewable. Progress and documents now display correctly.
- Email attachments now send correctly when messaging applicants from a client account — Attachments were silently getting dropped in some cases. They now arrive with the message every time.
- Calendar events for manually created invites now appear in your inbox — These events were missing from some users' inboxes. They now show up correctly.
- The "Update Job Post" button is back on mobile — This button was missing from the mobile job editing experience, making it impossible to save changes on the go. It's now available on mobile like it is on desktop.
- The dead link on the Audio Interview tooltip has been fixed — The tooltip pointed to a broken link. It now points to the correct help article.
- Partnership-provided job templates now appear on the Jobs page — These templates weren't visible to everyone who should have had access to them. They now show up correctly.
- The "How many recent applicants heard back from your company?" stat is now accurate — This figure was calculating incorrectly. It now reflects the correct number.
