Autopilot capabilities & limitations
Capabilities
Autopilot is a powerful feature that handles the back & forth communication between you and applicants when arranging an interview. This helps to speed up time to interview and ultimately allows you to hire faster.
Additionally, it communicates with the applicant based on their texting opt-in preference. Applicants who’ve opted-in will receive a text immediately after launching Autopilot. If the applicant hasn’t scheduled an interview, they will receive a second text after 24 hours, followed by an email after 48 hours.
Limitations
Autopilot is itself an automation, which means it’s not currently compatible with other automations in CareerPlug. The primary function of Autopilot is schedule an interview with an applicant quickly. Forms or documents can’t be attached to an Autopilot hiring step. If you previously had attachments on a phone or in-person interview step, you will need to create a custom hire step with those items attached. The custom step can then be inserted before or after the Autopilot hiring step.
Currently, all Autopilot content messages are pre-generated and can’t be customized at this time. Message templates aren’t compatible with Autopilot given that all communication is already handled for you.
