Editing the rejection email template

Creating a custom rejection email template

To edit the rejection email that is sent to applicants, navigate to Settings > Templates > General Messages.

Scroll to the "Applicant Rejection" emails. Click the Edit button to the right of rejection email.

This will create a copy of the email for you to edit. Give it a new name so you can recognize this as your template. Select Applicant Rejection as the Category.

Click Save when you are finished.

Sending your rejection email

On the Applicants page, find an applicant you want to reject. Click the Deactivate button. If the Deactivate button is not visible, click the three-dots icon and then click Deactivate.

Turn on the Send rejection letter (Optional) toggle This will allow you to select the template you've created, or any other rejection email templates that are available. You can also customize the rejection email by turning on the Customize Template (Optional) toggle. You can also turn on the Schedule to send later toggle to send the rejection at a later date/time.
