In order for someone at your company to receive emails about applicants, you can either add that person as a user to your account (they will be able to contact the applicant through CareerPlug) or adjust the notification settings on a specific job to send that person emails (they will not be able to contact the applicant through CareerPlug).
- If the person who should be receiving emails about new applicants should also have the ability to send the applicant emails and interview them, you should add them as a user to your account, and make sure to edit their notification settings. Learn more about adding a user and managing their notification settings.
- If the person who should receive new applicant notifications is already a user on your account, here's how to manage their notification settings.
- If the person should just be able to review applicant resumes via email but not have any contact with the applicants, then you can adjust the notification settings on a specific job (see below). This option is best when you have an employee who is not a user on your account who you only want to be aware of new applicants, not communicate with them.
To send emails about new applicants to someone at your company who is not a user in your account:
Note: You can send emails for each new applicant to users in your account, but external users can only receive a daily digest each morning with all new applicants from the previous day.
1. Navigate to your Jobs page.
2. Click the Edit button to the right of a job that you want to edit.
3. Click on the Hiring Settings tab.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and turn on the Email notifications to external users toggle.
5. Enter the email of the person(s) who you'd like to receive new applicant notifications.
5. Click the Update Job Post button at the bottom or top of the page.
Any external users added will now receive a daily digest with any new applicants from the previous day, but will not have the ability to log into CareerPlug or communicate with those applicants via CareerPlug.
