An email bounce happens when an email message is returned to the sender because it cannot be delivered for some reason.
If you are having trouble receiving emails from CareerPlug, it could be because the emails are bouncing. Some examples are:
- Password reset email
- Notification emails when you receive a new applicant
- Notification emails when you have an Autopilot interview scheduled
Let's look at a couple of ways you can resolve this issue!
Check Your Email Address
First, verify that the email address in your profile is correct. Any typos will result in bounced emails.
To resolve this, navigate to your profile page to verify and/or correct your email address. This should resolve the issue and allow you to start receiving emails from CareerPlug again.
Note: Once you take any of the steps below you will need to contact CareerPlug Support via email (support@careerplug.com) or by submitting a support request online so that we can clear the bounce from your email.
Verify Inbox Storage
If your email inbox is full, incoming emails will bounce since your inbox cannot accept any more messages.
To resolve this, check your email storage limit to see if you've reached capacity and, if necessary, clear out old or unwanted emails and attachments to make space for new messages, or purchase more storage from your provider.
Once you free up some space, contact us to clear the bounce from your email.
Unmark as Spam
If you inadvertently marked emails from reply.careerplug.com as spam, any future emails from CareerPlug will bounce.
To resolve this, check the Spam or Junk folder in your inbox, search for an email from reply.careerplug.com, and report CareerPlug emails as "not spam."
Once you do this, contact us to clear the bounce from your email.
