Note: Only Admin users can access the Account Insights page.
Account Insights is your new reporting hub in CareerPlug, helping you understand your account's performance at a glance. You can see how well you're engaging with applicants, how fast you're hiring, which steps of your hiring process can be improved, metrics on job activity and hiring trends, and more.
To access your Account Insights page, click the Insights tab in your top navigation bar.
As we develop this early access reporting dashboard, you'll continue to have access to Classic Reports. To view information about individual applicants in greater detail, we recommend using Classic Reports.

Viewing your Classic Reports
In addition to your new Account Insights, you can continue using your existing Classic Reports. You can access these by clicking the View Classic Reports button in the top right corner of your Account Insights page.
Classic Reports include 6 prebuilt reports for you to use to visualize valuable information about your applicants and user activity, as well as another tab to create, customize, and run Excel reports.
There are a couple of reports exclusive to Classic Reports that you'll want to take advantage of, such as the Applicant Detail report — which tells you how many active (and inactive) applicants are in each step of your hiring process — and the User Activity report — which allows you to track the activity of other users in your CareerPlug account.
Applying filters to find insights
Date Filter
You can adjust the date filter for the entire page by clicking the funnel icon in the top right corner of the screen.
By default, your Account Insights dashboard will show data for the Previous Month.
If you want to change the Date Range or interval of measurement (Graph By), click the down-arrow icon next to the date filter and use either of the drop-down menus to select a different option.
Key Filters
To apply a key filter to your Insights page, click the Location Name Filter or District Name Filter box.
In the Location Name Filter pop-up, click the down arrow icon and select whichever location data you want to appear on your Insights page. You can select as many or as few as you'd like.
When you're done, click the Apply button.
Note: Unless you have already set up districts within your account, there will no options to select in the District Name Filter.
Viewing reports
Hover over the title of a report to see a description and any important notes.
You can also click on the report's name to open up a report view (which also includes a description of the report).
Hiring Funnel Overview
These two reports will tell you how your account engages with applicants — by location — over a fixed date range.
Hiring Funnel, by Location - Previous Month and Last 14 Days
For the Previous Month — or the Last 14 Days (on the below chart) — you can see the following job and applicant data for each of your locations:
- Active job count
- # of jobs created
- # of applicants
- # of applicants contacted
- # of applicants with interviews scheduled
- # of applicants hired
Important considerations:
- Deleted locations will continue to appear in the Hiring Funnel report, with your account name in place of a location name.
- The Location Number column/cell for deleted locations will populate with "Removed."
- Both Hiring Funnel reports are excluded from the date range filter on your Account Insights page; they will always display data from the previous month and last 14 days respectively.
Hiring Process Activity
The Hiring Process Activity funnel offers 4 pieces of information to help you understand how your account has engaged with applicants over the entire span of your account.
The Hiring Process Activity funnel tells you:
- Total # of applicants
- Total # of applicants who received initial contact from you ("first time communication")
- Total # of applicants who scheduled a first interview with you
- Total # of applicants hired
Important considerations:
- Total # of applicants
- Includes all applicants, regardless of applicant status.
- Total # of applicants - First Contact
-
Includes applicants who were first contacted during the selected time period, regardless of when the applicant applied.
-
First Contact = the first time communication was sent to an applicant via Autopilot, an Invite/Schedule Interview message template, or any ad-hoc email/text sent in a CareerPlug account.
-
- Total # of applicants - First Interview Scheduled
- Measures total applicants who scheduled their first interview during the selected time period, regardless of when the applicant applied.
-
First Interview Scheduled = an interview scheduled via Autopilot or a Schedule Interview message template sent via text/email from a CareerPlug account.
-
While one applicant can have many interviews, this card measures the number of applicants interviewed, not the total # of interviews scheduled.
- Total # of applicants - Hired
-
If you only move an applicant into the Hire hiring step, they are not yet considered hired, and will not populate in this report. You must click the Hire button to mark an applicant as hired.
-
The total applicants hired can include applicants who applied outside of your selected time period. The selected time period only refers to the applicant's hire date.
-
Interview Conversion Rate
The Conversions chart will tell you how many applicants who were contacted converted to a scheduled interview over the last 12 months.
Important considerations:
- This chart is further subdivided by whether applicants were contacted via standard outreach vs. Autopilot — which cuts interview scheduling time by up to 91% and gets you up to 8x more interviews scheduled — to allow you to compare conversions across two outreach methods.
- This chart is excluded from the date range filter on your Account Insights page; it will always display data from the last 12 months.
Reviewed and Unreviewed Applicants
This section will tell you:
- The total applicants who applied in the selected timeframe that are considered 'reviewed.'
- The total applicants who applied in the selected timeframe that are considered 'unreviewed.'
- The percentage of who applied in the selected timeframe that are considered 'unreviewed.'
Important considerations:
- This data is excluded from the date range filter on your Account Insights page; it will always display data from the last month.
Time to Contact, Time to Interview Scheduled, and Time to Hire
According to our most recent Candidate Experience Report, applicants consider prompt and frequent communication with their potential employer to be a major positive factor in the candidate experience. We strongly suggest responding to applicants immediately after they apply for your best hiring results and you can use these charts to evaluate how quickly you're contacting applicants.
This section will tell you:
- The average time from when an applicant applied to when they received their first contact, for applicants created in the time period selected.
- The average time from when each applicant applied to when they received their first scheduled interview, for applicants created in the time period selected.
- The average time from when an applicant applied to when they were hired, for applicants created in the time period selected.
Important considerations:
- This data is excluded from the date range filter on your Account Insights page; it will always display data from the last month.
- If you only move an applicant into the Hire hiring step, they are not yet considered hired, and will not populate in this report. You must click the Hire button to mark an applicant as hired.
Interviews Scheduled
This section will tell you the number of interviews scheduled by the type of interview scheduled and by interview status (scheduled, canceled).
Important considerations:
- This chart is further subdivided by whether applicants were contacted via standard outreach vs. Autopilot — which cuts interview scheduling time by up to 91% and gets you up to 8x more interviews scheduled — to allow you to compare the # of interviews scheduled across two outreach methods.
- A canceled interview is defined as a previously scheduled interview that was canceled.
- This data is excluded from the date range filter on your Account Insights page; it will always display data from the last month.
Source Analysis
The Source Analysis chart will tell you where you are finding quality applicants.
Source Analysis is divided into two measures:
- % of Applicants by Source

Important considerations:
- This data is excluded from the date range filter on your Account Insights page; it will always display data from the last month.
- Includes applicants hired in the filtered date range.
- If you only move an applicant into the Hire hiring step, they are not yet considered hired, and will not populate in this report. You must click the Hire button to mark an applicant as hired.
- The total applicants hired can include applicants who applied outside of your selected date range. The selected date range only refers to the applicants hire date.
